Finding the words to summarise 2020 hasn’t been easy, in fact not much about 2020 has been. At the risk of sounding cliched, 2020 has been a year like no other. Australia has been responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic since March, but it’s easy to forget that we started the year with much of our beautiful country on fire. 

2020 has also been a year that has delivered so many wonderful highlights. I’m filled with pride and gratitude to the team here at Esendex Australia. We certainly aren’t alone in this, dealing with the adjustments to our new COVID-Normal, unprecedented levels of video meetings and unprecedented levels or the word ‘unprecedented’. But day in, day out, the team took their responsibility to help our customers in their quest to improve communication with their own customers, staff, and stakeholders. At all times doing so, with high levels of empathy and professionalism.

We’ve worked with a number of customers to use SMS to raise valuable funds towards the Bushfire Relief effort, we worked with health care workers across the country to get critical comms out, we helped local Aussie businesses adapt to click-and-collect, our Mobile Collections (payments) Solution won the Queen’s Award for Innovation and we’ve seen unprecedented levels of activity around Black Friday and Cyber Monday as some confidence returned to our economy.

Whilst we pause and reflect on this year, we also understand that our job isn’t done yet. We’ll be working hard throughout the Christmas and New Year period to continue our support to each of you.
